Johnny Ball is a Legend
Johnny Ball is, as everyone knows, Zoe Ball’s dad but he’s also responsible for fathering a generation of people who know that maths and science needn’t be dull or difficult but can – and should – be empowering and inspiring.
His seminal TV shows in the late 1970s and 1980s – most particularly Think of a Number and Johnny Ball Reveals All – did just that.
To acknowledge Johnny’s brilliance and what an inspiration he is we’re going to GIVE AWAY one copy per day, between now and Christmas, of Johnny’s new book, to one person out of everyone who retweets this:
Johnny Ball inspired me to love maths and science! #johnnyballisalegend http://bit.ly/sworq3 RT for chance to win Johnny’s new book everyday
Gadget Show presenter Jason Bradbury was certainly inspired by Johnny – here he is at an event with Johnny at the Apple Store in Covent Garden recently:
Times might have changed but Johnny hasn’t and his new book, Ball of Confusion, will tax your brain and get you thinking about science and numbers while keeping your entertained for hours – exactly what Johnny is good at. Read more about it here.
