Who's who at Icon Books
Peter Pugh
Chairman
Peter graduated in History from Cambridge in 1965 and pursued a
career in marketing until 1984, when he began writing corporate
histories, which he still writes. He formed Icon Books with two
fellow directors in 1991. Peter is the author of Introducing
Keynesian Economics and over 40 company histories, including
a three-volume comprehensive history of Rolls-Royce called The
Magic of a Name.
Simon Flynn
Managing Director
Simon joined Icon in 1997 and now manages Icon in general while
looking after its distributors around the world and Icon’s
children's imprint, Wizard Books, as well as being involved in the
commissioning of new titles.

Duncan Heath
Editorial Director
Duncan joined Icon in 1994 and is in charge of the production of
all Icon books, from editing manuscripts to seeing a new book off
to the printers. He is also is also involved in the commissioning
of new titles.

Andrew Furlow
Sales & Marketing Director
Andrew joined Icon in 1999, looks after marketing for all Icon
titles and, with the Marsh Agency, the selling of rights for Icon
books to foreign publishers. He is also editor of the Icon website,
and works closely with Icon’s sales agents and distributors, Faber
& Faber, and TBS Distribution.

Najma Finlay
Publicity Director
Najma Finlay joined Icon in 2008 and is in charge of all publicity
activity on Icon and Wizard titles. Contact Najma if you are a member

Nick Sidwell
Publishing Manager
Nick joined Icon in 2007 and works closely with Simon and Andrew
managing Icon’s burgeoning ebooks programme and its relaunch of the
Fighting Fantasy series. He also looks after submission enquiries.

Sarah Higgins
Editor
Sarah joined icon in 2007 and works closely with Duncan in the
editing and production of Icon books, liaising with authors,
typesetters, proof-readers and printers. She also looks after the
granting and obtaining of permissions to use copyrighted material.
She also looks after submission enquiries.

Henry Lord
Special Projects Manager
Henry joined Icon in 2006 and works closely with Peter Pugh
on Icon Books’ special publishing projects. He was also a co-author
of Creating Classics: The Golf Courses of Harry Colt.
