Who's who at Icon Books
Peter Pugh
Managing Director
Peter graduated in History from Cambridge in 1965 and pursued a
career in marketing until 1984, when he began writing corporate
histories, which he still writes. He formed Icon Books with two
fellow directors in 1991. Peter is the author of Introducing
Keynesian Economics and the three volumes of a comprehensive
history of Rolls-Royce, The Magic of a Name.
Tansy Hiner
Print Buying Manager and Assistant to the Managing Director
Tansy is PA to Peter Pugh. She carries out research on forthcoming
publications, monitors the sales and forecasts of all Icon and Wizard
titles, and is responsible for print-buying.

Simon Flynn
Publishing Director
Simon is responsible for developing Icon's children's imprint, Wizard
Books. In addition, he is the originating editor of the Revolutions
in Science list and co-author of Icon's The Internet from
A to Z. Simon also looks after Icon's distributors around the
world, outside of North America.

Henry Lord
Editorial Assistant / Research Manager
Henry, a graduate from Edinburgh University, works closely
with Simon in the editing and production of Wizard books, liaising
with authors, designers, typesetters and proof-readers. All initial
enquiries for Wizard Books should be made to Henry.

Duncan Heath
Editorial Director
A graduate in English from Oxford, Duncan is in charge of the production
of all Icon books, from editing manuscripts to seeing a new book
off to the printers. He is also the author of Introducing Romanticism.

Nick Sidwell
Editorial Assistant
Nick
works closely with Duncan in the editing and production of Icon
books, liaising with authors, typesetters, proof-readers and printers.

Sarah Higgins
Editor
Sarah, a graduate in Modern Languages from Oxford, works closely
with Duncan and Lucy in the editing and production of Icon books,
liaising with authors, typesetters, proof-readers and printers.
She also looks after the granting and obtaining of permissions to
use copyrighted material.

Andrew Furlow
Marketing Director
Andrew looks after marketing for all Icon titles and,
with the Marsh Agency, the selling of rights to Icon books to foreign
publishers. He is also editor of the Icon website, and works closely
with Icon's sales agents and distributors, Faber & Faber and TBS
Distribution.

Head of Publicity

Betty Thompson
Office Manager
Betty manages Icon and Wizard's Thriplow office, and is
